Forgotten Favourites
Forgotten Favourites is a workshop project set up in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, aimed at helping people with mental health issues start up their own micro-businesses, manufacturing products and crafts from a by-gone era.
Forgotten Favourites produces jams, pickles, chutneys, cakes and sweets, using a range of recipes that would be found in your Granny's kitchen.
These traditional recipes bring back the taste and flavors not found in modern, mass produced products. They contain no artificial preservatives, colourings or additives...just the goodness of the produce used to make the products.
Our sweets, such as the very popular vanilla fudge are free from anything artificial...just made with passion.
We also started up-cycling furniture, which has proved very popular, using Annie Sloan paint and techniques, a selection of which can be found in Our Products pages.
The profits made from the sale of our produce and furniture helps fund courses teaching people with mental health issues business basics, kitchen skills and food hygiene (to Level 2, City and Guilds Accredited), building their self esteem and building a successful, co-operative style of business, supporting people across Worcestershire.
Have a look at the range of products available...but please note: unlike mass produced products, we only make small batches (up to about 20 jars) for each recipe. Some of the recipes depend on when the fruits are in season. Keep coming back to our pages to check our updated stock for new recipes.
